A Permanent Home in Pennsylvania for CEI Anthracite

With main headquarters in Circleville, Ohio, CEI Companies now has another permanent home in Hazleton, Pennsylvania at the anthracite manufacturing facility the company currently operates. CEI recently purchased the 25,551-sq.-ft. office/warehouse and manufacturing facility. CEI Anthracite is located on 2.6 acres in Hazleton.

Anthracite coal is only found in eastern Pennsylvania and CEI’s facility in Hazleton is at the center of the action in the anthracite filter media business. Anthracite and sand are the most utilized filter media for water filtration around the world. Owning the state-of-the-art facility in Pennsylvania, in addition to operating it, means that there will be benefits for both CEI and our clients. Among these benefits are more quality control and additional cost savings, as well as giving ourselves a permanent home—our customers know that we aren’t going anywhere. Several upgrades are planned for the anthracite manufacturing plant in the near future, in order to make us and our processes more efficient.
